something else but she said her cell phone didn't work but let me ask you a

Luz Michelle:

question No, she said she couldn't see she couldn't say she couldn't see what she was typing.

Charlie Ponger:

So what does it have to do with their cell phone now

Luz Michelle:

it's it's not showing up on the screen. Oh

Charlie Ponger:

so in other words, you just got to read it so it might be just like a thing issue where she just got to brighten it up probably in the whole thing of work but

Luz Michelle:

I know now she's not here but look she's not here. She was freaking out the cell phone Yeah, cuz

Charlie Ponger:

she was freaking out.

Luz Michelle:

That's our dependency on cell phone. Yeah, I'm the same way are you yeah if I can't find my phone I have to like do a whole thing you do calm myself down think about my last stabs rip apart the house. Quality I know it's on silent.

Charlie Ponger:

Yeah, so you have find my phone. You know I do. And

Luz Michelle:

I don't know if you use it. I just panic. Okay, next time with the easier

Charlie Ponger:

use Find My Phone. Okay. But everybody's so codependent on their phones. Now. It's scary, like more than a wallet. Right

Luz Michelle:

one and you can even put your phone on your your wallet on your phone. Yeah.

Charlie Ponger:

But if you had to lose one thing, your phone or your wallet, what would you say? Your wallet.

Luz Michelle:

Now? I think I would say phone because you could just wipe out the phone. Oh, while it is like you know your personal identification, your credit card, your insurance cards. Yeah. To go through all out the DMV. The DMV is the same way. It was a 99. The same Harvell Yep. Thank you experience.

Charlie Ponger:

i This is a true story about the DMV, my friend. My friend walked into the DMV, okay. And there was this guy there. It was in Connecticut and Stanford and the guy's name was Mr. Seamon. Believe it or not, all right. He's Fallon. S e i m e, and I can't believe I remember it. And he was such a miserable mother. That my friend Rob walked in there and the guy started chipping his cubes and Rob Rob said, you know, you were probably the most miserable rotten human being I've ever met in my life.

Luz Michelle:

I've heard that before. Wow, these

Charlie Ponger:

20 Something year olds I was at the gym and he's got the he's Yeah, he's got the the video thing you know, he's got his camera on.

Luz Michelle:

Selfies. Working out video. i Wow. What is that job? It's the world. That's the world we're in. So

Charlie Ponger:

I walked up to him. Yo, bro, what are you doing? Are you gotta be kidding me. Right? And he just stared at me and I walked away. I can't believe it's za they do it. They take pics everybody. Are you a food person that you take? If you're out? And you're taking a picture of the food like to me it's like, who cares?

Luz Michelle:

Well, I mean, if someone like cook something that's really spectacular. I'll capture it for I don't know maybe on vacation but there are people who legit post what they had for breakfast lunch and dinner. I don't know. And we don't know.

Charlie Ponger:

And what is what the selfie thing like there. Everything is up high right angle Charlie. They take pictures of themselves. It drives me nuts. Well,

Luz Michelle:

I like the higher up. Yeah,

Charlie Ponger:

well, just the whole look at me I'm so great.

Luz Michelle:

No, it's not or no chatting me or what? Really? You're so out of the moment. When you're selfing when you're in the corner taking pictures of like, what are you doing know? When, but then they have like 3020 50,000 followers, I guess pleasing. John, I don't

Charlie Ponger:

know these young kids. You mean the 20 Somethings,

Luz Michelle:

whatever. 20 Some teenagers is 30 year olds doing it too. I'm sure there's 40 5060 year olds doing it. Selfies all day every day hashtag 70s You know?

Charlie Ponger:

How do they become like you know, how do they get all these followers they must do something outrageous, right? Do they are they take a picture of them? I think it's

Luz Michelle:

all different things. Oh, right. Because there has to be something about you that's different and captivating and relatable. I'm all these followers right?

04:46

I guess so. Some people buy. They buy him they buy What do you mean? What do you mean?

Luz Michelle:

I think you buy bots. Yeah. So let's say you new to Instagram and you want to come in like I've been here for a minute and boom, I didn't know his birth and I was like 50,000 file No kidding, I'm assuming

05:02

Wow, that's scary. Yeah. What about uh, when people take pictures, you know, like family pictures, I never want them to be posted on Facebook or any. We're not that important. Okay? We're not in Fortin to the be going look at me Look at me. I don't get it. You know,

Luz Michelle:

I have a whole thing with social media like, I don't post my kids. Yeah, no, I don't because it's I don't know who's seeing it. You can say, Oh, I have privacy settings. And I'm only friends with friends and family on Facebook. But yeah, your friend is clicking on it. And all of their friends are seeing what they clicked on. Yeah, you know, like to me that's that's too. It's too far fetched for me for my mind to know that, like, my kids pictures are just out there. Yeah, it's like for me, social media and why

05:57

I don't none of us are that important. I don't get it.

Luz Michelle:

Well, for some people, I guess it's how they see their family or I don't know, stay up to date when he just looked

06:06

at me. Look at us.

Luz Michelle:

I don't do it. I've had people ask me. Well, I've had people ask me to my face. Yeah. Why don't you ever post your kids? And I've had people ask like my family. Why does in so and so ever post pictures of the kids? How does she expect people to see what the kids look like? Talking about? Why don't you call me. Let's listen. We spoke Yeah.

06:29

One? You're the one that should talk about why don't you call me Why don't we talk on the phone? Oh, a

Luz Michelle:

haina I like it. An ad has to be in the mood. You got to be like, no interruption. Do you know yesterday? When you and I were coming? I picked up the phone yesterday. When in the morning? No. Oh, with me later. Yeah. Oh, when you call Oh, yeah, at the end.

06:57

But here's how this whole thing went down. I'm like, Alright, I'm driving and you're texting me. I'm doing one word, text, right. Use the voice thing connect. You know, if I was trying to prove a point to you. I said, I'm driving. I

Luz Michelle:

don't say shit like that. And then he crashes the car. texted me.

07:15

I'm driving. I'm driving. I'm in wherever I was, you know, and coming back. I'll be back by this time, but we had a nice time last night, right? Yes. dinner and drinks with Charlie. Yeah, it was fun. Right?

Luz Michelle:

He had francium My husband was here. Harrison. Harrison Harrison.

07:31

Yeah. So um, alright, so I don't know what else that we can do about social media. Except abstain from it. You know what a balance. When you go to a restaurant, which you know, it's rare for probably both of us. I don't bring my phone into the restaurant anymore.

Luz Michelle:

I bring it in with me.

07:48

You do Opie's you have kids? Kids anything? My husband is traveling with your husband. I slammed the phone. What if you're with your husband and your kids?

Luz Michelle:

In all the pens? Well, like we went camping? Right? I didn't have my phone. Oh, and I was actually okay with it.

08:06

And where did you go camping?

Luz Michelle:

Where did we go? We went like Upper New York.

08:13

How far away? How far away? Was it? under an hour under an hour? Yeah. Was it fun?

Luz Michelle:

It was a lot of fun. The first time it was my first time did you glamper Did you Klieg lamps. Oh, you kinda. Did you have like the blow up? Yes, we had everything

08:30

did you make yourself an outdoor shower too?

Luz Michelle:

Now Now we that we roughed it out? Yeah. Did you bring a grill or how did you cook there was already grills there on the property. Okay, yeah, we had the 10 you know stand up tent which is nice. We had a mat just to get out of mattress

08:45

was nice. Was there a river to jump into or anything like that? No, but

Luz Michelle:

we were by the lake. Frogs all night. Like one a different part. We went in like the kids went in. We all went in. But they snakes. I saw three snakes this weekend in the pond. Anyway, just where we were. So you know, I had a Google by the time I got services.

09:08

And they're all the snakes are okay. Right. They weren't dangerous, although snakes. Whether it's poisoners or not, if a snake bites you, there's so much bacteria you gotta get, you gotta go to last.

Luz Michelle:

This is a really great

09:22

one of those little tidbits that I know about that. Who cares, right? Yeah, but

Luz Michelle:

how do you know if a snake is poisonous? And not? Don't you have to know snakes? Well,

09:30

mostly they have, you know, like diamond heads almost most of them. Oh, there's only a Copperhead although my daughter who lives in California, they were walking into rattlesnakes came by she sent me a picture of

Luz Michelle:

what do you do?

09:45

Take a picture put on face

Luz Michelle:

and get the feedback 1000 line

09:57

Oh shit, everybody. Okay, so that was What are we talking about cell phones cell phone by hand in that cell phones suck, but they're good, but they suck. You know?

Luz Michelle:

Yeah, they they take care of the moment. They do.

10:09

I think the most important part, they're also great. should be viewed as utility right now. As a personalized social media social kind of thing. It's more of let's get stuff done.

Luz Michelle:

But that's how people look at it with social media on their phone. Right.

10:30

All right, everybody. I don't know what the hell we're talking.

Luz Michelle:

We just jumped on. Yeah, he may never you'll

10:39
